Here we are at the top of the mesa at Tent Rocks near Santa Fe, NM. It was 1.5 miles in with a 600 foot climb up the mesa.

The soft rock has been eroded, leaving the harder rock perched on top of pinnacles.

The water has created a slot canyon.

Climbing is hot and thirsty work.

A view down from the mesa to some of the tent rocks. The slot canyon trail was at the base of those pinnacles.
